In the summer of 1995 Amazon sold its 1st book in the garage of Jeff Bezos. Today Amazon has more warehouse . . . Read full article

by April Tanner, CCE, Kimball Equipment Company

Two Simple Life-Changing Tips

by Rita Emmett, The Procrastinators Handbook

Recently, one of our perceptive readers emailed a description of the clutter in her house: "I felt myself being pulled in a million different directions. I felt bombarded in my head with things that needed to get done, yet I became completely overwhelmed when I tried tackling them."

Do you relate to that?

That overwhelmed feeling is a huge cause of procrastination whether you feel swamped by a totally cluttered house, or so much paper clutter that you can't find anything, or a list of things-to-do that looks like it could not possibly be completed in this century or a million other overwhelming projects . . . Dealing with Difficult People

by Joanne Martin, CCE, L.K.L. Associates

As credit managers we all have marginal accounts that are higher risk. These accounts take extra monitoring, time and care, to be able to protect the balance due to your company. As you know, any account can become past due. In your attempts to collect that past due balance, your customer may give you various reasons for non-payment, broken promises etc. At that point, decisions must be made that the customer, as well as the sales department, are not happy with . . .
