by April Tanner, CCE, Kimball Equipment Company

WOW - can I just say Western Regional Credit Conference 2018 was fabulous! For the many of you that attended, I am sure you found it worth the time to attend. NACM Credit Reporting Connections

Merge don't splurge!

Don't pay for duplicates

Did you know there is a money saving tool available for you to use on the credit reporting site for FREE?

Click on the BETA 3.0 tab you can MERGE customers who have related companies or those who may be in the system more than once (with different spelling or address) together so you will only be charged for 1 report.

Be sure to call Kristy at 801.433.6131 so she can turn on your merge feature. To avoid being charged for pulling multiple reports on the same company you will need to start merging your similar named accounts in the system.

Personal Workplace Emergency Preparedness
by Melissa Mickelsen, CCE, Geneva Rock Products

Have you ever wondered what would happen if an emergency or disaster occurred while you were at work? What would you do if you weren't able to leave your office for several hours or even overnight due to emergency conditions? Because we spend so much of our time at work, it's important to consider the answers to these questions and think about how we'd take care of ourselves if we were trapped at work . . . . Creating a Dynamic Relationship with Sales
by Amy Shelton, CBA, Builders FirstSource

The sales team has many affectionate ways of describing the credit department, but my all-time favorite is the "sales prevention department." At times it can feel like the only thing that a sales person remembers is that one "No that is said out of 100's of "Yes's". All credit managers know that working with the sales department can be difficult at times - when you dash their dreams of a big paycheck by getting in the way with facts . . . . Read full article
